Sick Time Accruals

Sick time accruals can be defined on the Sick Time Accrual page under the Options menu item. Sick time accruals are defined for an employment type.

Setting
Description
Employment Type Sick time accruals are configured by employment type, choose the employment type here.
Accrues Sick Time To accrue sick time this check this box.
Start Accruing Hire Date Plus Enter the the number of weeks or months after hire date that the employment type starts accruing sick time.
Start With Enter a number here to configure the number of sick hours you want an employment type to start with. Usually this would be zero.
Accrue The base number of hours per time unit should be entered here. So, if an employee is entitled to 60 sick hours per year then you would enter 5 hours for every 1 month.
For Every Enter the base time unit that sick time accrues for. If this is set to 1 month, then Time and Attendance Plus will not accrue time until 1 month has passed.
Stop Accruing To set an upper limit that sick time can accrue up to check this box. Enter the actual limit in the text box.
Carry Balance Forward Yearly Check this box to carry accrued sick time forward at the end of the fiscal/financial year. Sick time accrued will be reset at the end of of fiscal year if this box is not checked.
