| Administrator | The administrator is the person who knows/sets the Time and Attendance Plus administrator password and is responsible for setting up and controlling Time and Attendance Plus. This person may also be responsible for all reporting. |
| Administrator Account | The administrator account is what you are using in Time and Attendance Plus when the administrator password has been entered and you are accessing the administrative functions. |
| Administrator Password | This is the 6-12 character long password used to log into the Time and Attendance Plus Administrator Account. It is set when you first run the software or can be changed later using the Tools and Options page. |
| Allowable Connections | The allowable connections are how many database connections you are allowed according to how many licenses you have purchased. By default this is zero for the single user or free version of the software. |

| Badge Number | This is a number up to 12 digits that uniquely identifies each employee in your Time and Attendance Plus database. It is also known as the Employee ID. |
| Bulletins | Bulletins are message popups that can be shown to employees when they clock in or out of Time and Attendance Plus. They are set up and configured by the Administrator. |

| Clock Event | A Clock In or Clock Out event. |
| Clock In | An employee 'clocking in' or 'punching in' to the Time and Attendance Plus system. |
| Clock In / Out Station | A computer with the Time and Attendance Plus Client installed on it and setup to allow employees to use it to Clock In or Out. |
| Clock Out | A employee 'clocking out' or 'punching out' of the Time and Attendance Plus system. |
| Connection | A connection is created whenever the Time and Attendance Plus program or the Time and Attendance Plus Client is started up and connects to a Time and Attendance Plus database. |
| Database | This is the database in which Time and Attendance Plus stores all its information. It can be a Microsoft Access database or optionally an SQL Server / MSDE database. |

| Database Size | The database size determines how many employee records you can have in your database. By default this is 75, for the free version it is 3. You can purchase a license to expand this database size. |
| Employee | An Employee in Time and Attendance Plus is a record representing an employee in your company. Generally you'd need a record for every employee you want to collect information for. |

| Hourly Rate | A rate per hour an Employee gets paid, may be for normal time or over time. |
| License | A license is the commercial arrangement you have with TSMTS Software. When you purchase Time and Attendance Plus you are purchasing a 'license' for the software. The license determines how many computers you may install the software on and how big your employee database is allowed to be. It also determines how many 'clients' may connect to the same database. |
| Main Time and Attendance Plus Program | This is the normal Time and Attendance Plus program used in single computer installations or used as the 'administration' program in multi computer installations. |

| Overtime | Working time in which an employee is usually paid a penalty rate which is higher than their normal rate of pay. |
| PIN | The Time and Attendance Plus PIN (personal identification number) is a code you can require employees to enter as an added level of security to prevent fraudulent Clock Events |

| Register | When you 'register' Time and Attendance Plus you will enter a 'registration code' supplied to you by TSMTS Software. This will remove the trial period from the software and update your allowable number of connections and employee database size. |

| Salary | A Salary is what an employee gets paid per time period (week, month, year etc) regardless of hours worked. Typically salaried employees do not get paid overtime. |
